Fess up, is this you: A hopeless romantic, totally consumed by the fairy tale, storybook love stories that only seem to happen in movies? Well, if you have any contact between Venus (love) and Neptune (idealism) in your chart, then I hate to say it but on some level you've got a Cinderella Complex.
Now, that's not necessarily a bad thing, is it? I mean, come on, it's nice to believe in love despite having your heart shredded to pieces or having to go through the aching pain of unrequited love. Faith (Neptune) in love (Venus) can be positive. After all, if we stopped believing in love then we'd all close our hearts up for good after the first heartbreak.
But most of us don't. Most of us, at some point, manage to pick up the pieces of our broken hearts and make a decision that even if it's broken, it's open. Open to the possibility of love again. And so it goes.
Unfortunately, there is a rite of passage in the lives of many who continue to believe in soul mate connections and happy endings, where if we've been kissing a frog instead of a prince we get a very rude awakening. The object of our affection comes down from the pedestal we've placed him on and suddenly we're confronted with an ugly truth about love (Venus). We've been deceived ... or disillusioned (Neptune). Not a pretty place to be, for sure.
It's February and the month of Valentine's Day, which means many of us are spending time pouring over love letters, heart-shaped boxes of chocolate and sexy lingerie. Some of us even have our noses pressed against the glass at Tiffany wistfully dreaming up the perfect engagement. Love can be grand. It can be the most amazing feeling of elation we'll ever know.
It can also suck the wind right out of you.
This February, however, love is a little different. That's because Neptune, the planet that rules unconditional love and spirituality, will enter the sign Pisces. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus because of its association with divine, spiritualized, soul mate love. This placement is all about loving someone when they don't or can't love you back. It's also about loving someone just because there's a little bit of that divine spark in them.
From now until 2026 the world will change its approach to spiritual love. Now that Neptune is out of Aquarius, I'm certain Internet dating and detached relationships will begin to disappear. No more breaking up over a drunken text. No more cyber love. Internet dating? I bet it's about to go by the wayside. The Neptune in Pisces dating generation won't put up with that much coolness in romance. Nope, Neptune in Pisces wants more.
Much, much more.
In fact, Neptune in Pisces wants to merge with its soul mate in the vast sea of romantic bliss. Expect dating and love to have more to do with spiritualty and imagination and less to do with high tech gadgets. Neptune in Pisces wants to be high on love. That also means there's the potential for love and addiction to go hand in hand. So even though the bar scene might make a strong comeback, you need to be careful no one is slipping anything into your drinks. Please, don't let Neptune in Pisces rear its shadow like this! You don't need to spend the next several years holding your lover's hand in AA meetings, either. Love is not sacrifice. Well, not all the time anyway.
Fortunately, we'll collectively turn to a more loving world thanks to the influence of Neptune in Pisces. We'll care. We'll show kindness and compassion. We'll give without expecting anything in return. And when it comes to love, we'll hope for the best.
Especially if we're drowning in it.
So make sure that starting this month you celebrate Valentine's Day with a life jacket on. Neptune in Pisces is about to make waves.
This was obviously written for females and it is very good, but I as a guy can also relate to what has been written here. As Debbie stated below, Been there, Still there! Thank you for your insight, Maria!
