Flexibility is your friend

You've been stewing in a mix of symbols that flow into your imagination from the hidden realms of your dreams. Your vision of the future began to clear last year when enchanting Neptune left your sign for a trial visit into compassionate Pisces from April 4 - Aug. 4, 2011, before retrograding back into your 1st House of Self. However, Neptune's 14-year visit to Aquarius ends on Feb. 3, when it re-enters Pisces and your 2nd House of Self-Worth, where it will remain until 2025. The spiritual nature of Neptune can conflict with the materialistic 2nd house, creating problems if you're too attached to what you own or to the idea of making more money. An overhaul of your finances and a re-evaluation of how you produce income will be gradual but, thankfully, hardworking Saturn, your traditional planetary ruler, plays an important role this year in bringing you much-needed patience and practicality.

Saturn the Tester first entered your 9th House of Big Ideas on Oct. 29, 2009, restraining your growth just enough for you to learn some important lessons about life. Your pragmatic approach to education has given you the self-discipline to tackle complex subjects such as philosophy, religion or politics. But what you discover about the world through study or travel will become even more important when karmic Saturn enters your 10th House of Career on Oct. 5 for a two-year stay. Saturn's visit to passionate Scorpio and your 10th house is a time of increased professional responsibilities. You get what you deserve -- and if you've defined your goals and worked hard to achieve them, this can be the payoff. But in areas of your life where you've let things slip, you'll be laboring extra hard to put them right. On Oct. 10, sobering Saturn's harmonious trine to idealistic Neptune -- the first in a series of three that last until July 19, 2013 -- balances your dreams of material success with common sense and persistence to bring your ideas into reality.

It feels as if nothing's been quite the same -- and your everyday life and will never return to normal -- since electrifying Uranus entered fiery Aries and your 3rd House of Immediate Environment on May 27, 2010, for a seven-year stay. You should be thrilled with the buzz and excitement as new ideas, unconventional people, and spontaneous events become part of your daily routine, yet on occasion you may also long for a return to more peaceful times. However, a series of dynamic squares from transformational Pluto to radical Uranus that occur on June 24 and Sept. 19 -- and recur five more times through March 2015 -- force you to leave nostalgia behind and see your life through a new lens. Although you may be progressive in your thinking, Aquarius is a fixed sign, and you don't always handle change easily. Unfortunately, the more you seek security by grasping the status quo, the more sudden and shocking the changes will be. Above all, remember that during these hectic times, flexibility is your friend.
