This arouses the adventurous side of your personality, stirring new ideas and a tendency to take risks. It's appropriate to reach out to people in faraway places or consider expanding your educational horizons.

Just be extra careful while informative Mercury is retrograde from December 10 - 30 as it begins its awkward reversal in your 10th House of Career. Driving forward at high speed can lead to misunderstandings and errors that work against your long-term interests, especially when Mars forms a hyperactive and rebellious 90-degree square with electric Uranus on December 3. Instead of leaping into action immediately, take your time when considering any new ventures.

On December 7 Mars enters serious Capricorn and your 10th house, which could pile fresh responsibilities on your shoulders. That's fine if you're in a leadership position where you can comfortably handle the challenges. Yet if you're forced to be a follower, you could clash with someone in a position of authority.

Things could also get touchy around December 13 when Mars joins Mercury and potent Pluto. The intensity can be very high then and you could be pushed to the limit at work. However, if you're ready to take on a difficult task, you should have the strength, focus and commitment to make a major breakthrough. Obstacles in your path can be blown away when you're properly prepared and motivated, so make the best of this rare opportunity to prove your effectiveness.

Mercury re-enters your 8th House of Deep Sharing on December 18, providing opportunities to renegotiate your agreements with others. Untangling knots in professional relationships isn't easy but worth your investment of time and energy. If you're not pleased with a close colleague or business associate, discuss these issues as calmly as you can and perhaps you can get on a more productive path. This also marks the start of a four-week period when seeking investors or partners to help you with a new venture is appropriate. Just don't be in a hurry to finalize any agreements until Mercury begins moving forward again on December 30.

The Sun's entry into ambitious Capricorn and your 9th house on December 21 is another reason to think about long-term career goals. Additional training or education might be a key to expanding your professional horizons.
