Shake It Up During Uranus Retrograde

The rebel planet makes change personal

If you watch the news, you know that struggles for freedom seem to be exploding all over the world. Huge changes are happening in many governments and political systems, and this energy is only about to get more amped up. Revolutionary Uranus is going retrograde on Friday, July 13, and you can take advantage of this!

In Astrology, every planet has its own "personality." Uranus is the rebel of the group -- the one who likes to shock. When Uranus "goes retrograde," meaning that from our point-of-view on Earth, it appears to move backward. This changes the planet's power.

Over the next five months, Uranus will continue to shake us out of our comfort zones until it goes direct again on December 13 -- and we'll feel it on both an individual and a global scale. While Uranus has been known to inspire wars and revolutions, it will also create change from the inside out. Gandhi once said, "Be the change you want to see in the world," and this is exactly what Uranus Retrograde will push you to do!

But Uranus Retrograde also forces us to confront our own fears and personal roadblocks, so we can all expect a few "Ah ha!" moments of realization. This is a time for us to consider what the concept of "freedom" means to us, and what we need to fix or change in our lives to get it.

Uranus also forces us to get real about who we are and what we want, so if you're in the wrong job, working toward the wrong degree or dating the wrong person, Uranus Retrograde will let you know. While Uranus usually forces the changes that need to happen, over the next five months, it will quiet down and simply make you feel what needs an overhaul. So pay attention to Uranus's tough-love advice!

July 14, 2012 - evening - Uranus stationed retrograde. Mercury is Stationing Retrograde. Just tried to print out your article on http://www.dailyhoroscope.com/horoscope-headlines/astrology-uranus-retro.... It comes out as a BLANK piece of paper, with printed headers and footers, and two small rectangles in the center of the page that say, Like 102 and Tweet 14. That's it---!

I don't own my own computer (cannot afford one). I am extremely fortunate to have a friend who knows my enthusiasm for astrology and who doesn't mind my using their computer when they're gone. So, I count on being able to choose and print out select articles of interest to read and think about LATER.

On the afternoon of July 11, I contacted a tech at [tarot com] customer service about the problem. He was not sympathetic; no "answer." Really and truly, I don't think he was trying to be mean about it ; he just simply couldn't help the fact that I wasn't technologically caught up to where he (scoffing) was. Tough.

This reflects a commonality. There's the same prevailing general attitude in "modern" society today. They retort--- 'Oh! you DO have a choice...which is--- Go away, shut up, and just deal with yourself, don't bother ME!' Now really! How 'advanced' can that really be?? Messages from some in society are like, 'Oh well' .... 'that's the way it is now...either like it or lump it'. I know that the tech was absolutely right. This IS "MY" problem, and I DO know that.... but it still doesn't stop the fact that it sucks, for me.

Basically the trend is turning to "electronic" reading ONLY now.... not paper. I feel this "trend" now out in our World is unwise for MANY reasons, one of which is that it is fracturing our society. Electronic screens hurt my eyes-- I see better on paper. I don't have the financial resources to afford the ubber-modern electronics. Is this what 'modern' means now....? The effect is to make me feel that I've been cut off to drift. I feel that I'm 'virtually' "left out" to drift away, socially. Without connection I can't survive. Is the intention? Does technology mean to say that if I'm not using what 'everybody else has access to' then I don't deserve to participate? Where is the BALANCE?? (... where is the humanity?)

I believe TRUE innovation derives a product born from the synthesis of energetic hungry minds, who would also remain well-focused and aware that this is for the service and benefit of PEOPLE; not metallic wires and electrical impulses. Technology can be programmed to fool our senses into thinking that it has feelings; but it in no way has feelings----it can NEVER ever actually BE a HUMAN Being, no matter how deeply we can be convinced that the illusion makes it so.

Human beings have a Spirit and possess a Soul, that lives in a Body--- Now, how that's all connected is the TRUE miracle. Technology can't MAKE that genuine Soul connect to a life-like machine. They can incorporate machine parts into bodies, but Souls without a body can never 'possess' the machine without having been "born" into a body! --- (Yeah, Mercury Retrograde can make it seem that way, LOL, but Souls and personalities are NOT "The Machine" !!) What escapes notice is that PEOPLE run the electronics; it's the responsibility of PEOPLE to fit electronics to serve PEOPLE.

I feel this is a huge unconscious mistake made in this industry--- and it's seductive. The creative process itself generates a sleep state: in our allure and pursuit and intellectual fascination with these shiny objects, we hazard persons in society because some don't realize we're also running around with scissors in our hands! Are we asleep at the wheel? Anesthesized by the chase? Is this impelling us down a deadly road for people, and society as a whole. Have we lost ability to do these things in a SAFE way and not realize it because we spurn the very ones who are saying there may be something wrong with this?

Is Uranus in Aries saying, I started it, now it's up to YOU deal with the human consequences--- it's not mine.... seeya, g'bye? Are we VIRTUALLY giving over control and our Human Wills to be the slaves of ones consciously employing the use of electronics??

I'm sooo sad; it feels so HARSH. My problem wasn't his problem. Well that may be true.... but I need you to know that I was doing the best I can with the little I've got. Bottom line is communicating to me that-- if you can't "afford" the technology, then you don't deserve to 'participate.'

Uranus is transiting my 4th House. It's affecting me at the depths of my psyche--- thwanging near a cardinalGrCr. It's cutting me off from everything I've had; I'm feeling cut off without any way to resolve this by myself. I don't fit. It used to be that we leave no one behind.... now, anyone who falls behind is left behind... (Darwin's laughing).

Well, I'm untethered, major tom... It may be really true that it's not your fault at all..., and it's also true to me that you didn't care, and perhaps were relieved it wasn't your problem. In the local government where I live, people who care enough to make observations are told this: "Oh, we knew that a few might grumble about it....but they'll 'get over it' ... What? Well... kindly, what about those impacted in society who can't??

There was also a Uranus retrograde at my time of birth so that could be another reason I am experiencing it more than others.

My inner rebel is officially on the loose-and it has been quite a shock considering I am usually a follower of the rules and my behavior is often predictable. But when life throws us a few surprises it's only expected that we will react. I received an unexpected letter on Friday the 13th and ever since I have been acting a little differently. I think I will experience this retrograde more than the Mercury one because my sun is in the 11th house and Uranus is currently in my sun sign.

I, too am coming to grips with The Wall that I cannot continue to wait for, and hope that others see what they do to the detriment primarily to themselves, and peripherally to others. I have to let go and -the crucial exercise for me- to trust that things will resolve on its (not my) timetable.

I can honestly say that this has taken affect on me regarding my relationship with a certain partner. After struggling to keep the "family" together, I've decided that I can no longer continue to be the "glue" that has stuck with more than my fair share of responsibility of being mom and dad. I've done all I can do to take on more than I'm mentally, emotionally, and physically capable of doing. After realizing that I've tried for the past 17 years to make this relationship work, I can no longer fight. Over this past weekend, I have found a new place of abode and look forward to spiritually re-connecting with who I am rather than who I've been expected to be.
