Born on the Capricorn-Aquarius Cusp

The Cusp of Mystery and Imagination is never a dull thing

What happens when you combine the energies of capable Capricorn and quirky Aquarius? You get highly unique individuals, that’s what. If you were born between about January 16 and January 23, you were born on The Cusp of Mystery and Imagination, and there's never a dull moment.

Whether outwardly flamboyant or shy and quiet, Capricorn-Aquarius cuspers always have much excitement going on internally. They have vivid dreams and rich fantasies that need to be expressed creatively if they’re to be happy.

Prone to leading unusual lives, “Capriquarians” often struggle to balance the two very different sides of their personalities -- they are reserved yet social, security-craving but independent, and traditional yet offbeat.

Capricorn-Aquarius cuspers love to talk and entertain, and they especially enjoy intellectually stimulating conversations about any manner of strange topics. This is why no matter how hard they work or how dedicated they are to achieving their goals, things are never dull.

While hard-work and high standards bring these cuspers much success in most career endeavors, they can have more difficulty maintaining personal relationships. This is perhaps due to a need for independence, and a tendency to seem aloof and critical -- sometimes even selfish. However, if they can put forth the loyal, funny and friendly sides of themselves they’ll make fast friends.

Hi Nancy, the Sun moved into Aquarius on Jan. 20, 1933, so yes! The closer you are to the actual day the Sun changes signs the more you will feel that cusp, energy. Three days is pushing the limit, but still considered the cusp. :)

I have two kids who are Aquarians. One has a Jan 20th birthday (I've seen a couple of sites claim that Jan 20th is Capricorn, but I've seen many more say it is Aquarius... and I have had her natal chart done and she's listed as Sun in Aquarius), and she is very, very moody. She also seems to have a constant struggle of wanting to do things independently and also wanting to feel secure and she is very clingy.

My Aquarian son has a Jan 24th birthday, and to me, he seems VERY much an Aquarius. The paragraph about vivid dreams and rich fantasies describes him very well. Unlike his sister, he's not very moody and I would dare to describe him as "happy-go-lucky". Both of them flip-flop a LOT though. Other than a few similarities between them, it's sometimes hard to believe they are both the same sun sign.

New baby is a Leo. So we'll see how she grows into her sun sign.

Reading what I read about Capricorn Aquarius, seems to be so true for me. Independence is a pet pea of mine. It really bothers me as today, when I reach out to ask for help, somebody somewhere seems to want to help, is expecting something in return. Yes I can be selfish at times. Relationships are far and few for me also. I refuse to allow anyone to get to close or within. I'm OK with that now that I am older. I have no problem making friends, friends are few and far as well.

While I am shy and quiet to those I meet in person, I'm definitely not to those I meet online, or through other means. Is this normal for those of us that are of this cusp? I seem to also not solely get along with just one person around me of one zodiac, but when I have two around me of two opposite zodiacs. Anyone ever felt this way before?

Yes, I am very attracted to that are able simulate my intellect, love talking to people who know me and entertaining. My birthday is on the 18th a Wednesday this year. I have not special plans but, my focus is on changing things in my life and getting away from negitive people. However, it is not easy being me either.
