Love Horoscopes

Fun and flirtatious

by Jeff Jawer

Love lopes along at a leisurely pace with its planetary representative Venus in stable Taurus until June 9. Enjoying the sweet sensuality of taking time pleasing people and activities increases pleasure when we're not in a hurry. The downside of Venus in stubborn Taurus can be resistance to new forms of fun. We can get stuck in a rut, albeit a delightful one at times, if we're unwilling to stretch our social and esthetic boundaries.

A less conventional and more experimental approach to connecting with others begins with Venus' shift into airy, adaptable Gemini on June 9. Her presence in this chatty sign is excellent for striking up conversations with new people or finding more interesting things to say with a current partner. Flirting is a big part of the picture with both Venus and verbal Mercury in playful Gemini. Reading others' signals can be difficult when it's so easy to talk without deep reflection or commitment.

On June 10 Venus forms a strong 90-degree square with magical Neptune, which adds imagination, compassion, idealism and illusion to romance. While it's wonderful to break down barriers of mistrust to merge with others, there's a risk of projecting fantasies on people and not seeing them as they really are. Feelings may be mixed later in the month when passionate Mars' entry into Gemini on June 20 increases teasing and playfulness. But then the willful Sun moves into cautious and self-protective Cancer the next day to bring tender feelings closer to the surface, increasing vulnerability and raising red flags of caution.
